TorqueBank is advancing a phased expansion and upgrade of its manufacturing site in Hangzhou, China. New office and production buildings are now in use, while improvements to existing facilities continue. The project combines additional space with investment in production technology, new production line development and motor R&D.

Expanded Facilities and Ongoing Refurbishment

The new office and production buildings add space for motor manufacturing and daily operations. At the existing site, refurbishment has included exterior repainting, office renovation and improvements to production buildings.

As production is reorganised across the site, the original production areas are undergoing further upgrades, with planning continuing for their future use. The aim is to make better use of both new and existing space while improving the working environment for employees.

Production Line Upgrades and Automation Investment

Some existing production lines have already moved into the new production building, with relocation continuing in stages. New equipment and automated production lines are also in operation, alongside ongoing investment in the development of additional lines.

These investments are intended to improve process repeatability, production efficiency and product consistency. The emphasis is on strengthening the manufacturing processes that turn approved motor designs into repeatable results in volume production.

Stronger R&D and Engineering Support

TorqueBank has also strengthened its R&D team and brought a dedicated R&D building into use. These resources support motor design, application-specific development and ongoing product improvement.

Investment in people complements the upgrades to buildings and equipment. Closer coordination between engineering and manufacturing remains a priority as customer projects progress from initial requirements and sample development to volume production.

Competitive pricing remains an important part of TorqueBank’s offering. Through these phased investments, the company is building on that strength while placing continued emphasis on product quality, engineering support and long-term partnerships with equipment manufacturers and OEM customers.
